Our mission
We publish books meant to be used. Each title starts from a single practical question a reader is actually trying to answer, and the whole book is built to answer it. If a chapter does not help the reader act, it does not stay in the manuscript.
Editorial standards
- Plain language. We write in ordinary words. Where a technical term is unavoidable, we define it once and use it consistently.
- Honest scope. Every book states what it covers and what it does not. We do not promise outcomes we cannot support.
- Structure first. Titles are outlined before they are drafted, so the table of contents is a usable map rather than a list of essays.
- Edited in-house. Development editing, copy-editing and proofreading are all done by our own editorial team before release.
- Maintained editions. When information changes, we revise the edition rather than leaving a stale file in circulation.
How we publish
Our editions are digital. Every purchase is supplied as a PDF, so a book reads well on a laptop, a tablet or a phone. Files are stored privately and released only to the account that bought them, through your library.
We keep the list deliberately small. A new title is added when it is finished and genuinely earns a place, not to fill a publication calendar.
Rights and licensing
Translation, audio, print and bulk licensing enquiries for any of our titles are welcome. Write to rights@meridianpress.com.
